...and we now have scientific proof thanks to some "cheeky" monkeys!
A recent study published in the journal Plos One explored whether macaques form human-like preferences for brand logos through sex and social status based advertising.
The short answer: yes they do!
According to the findings of the study, the results show that "monkeys form preferences for brand logos repeatedly paired with images of macaque genitals and high status monkeys."
A welcomed result from marketers I'm sure!
For a paper in the journal Plos One, researchers presented well-known products alongside a comely macaque in season, who was displaying her assets in a manner roughly analogous to Eva Herzigova saying “Hello Boys” in a Wonderbra. Afterwards, they found that her fellow monkeys preferred the brands she represented.
