Final details have now been announced for the Global Advertising Lawyers Alliance Annual Conference on Thursday 26th March 2020 at the Ham Yard Hotel. We have over 100 delegates registered already, who'll be joining at least 60 GALA lawyers from around the world.

Highlights include a panel discussion with some of the major figures from global advertising regulation, including Guy Parker, Chief Executive of the UK's ASA and Vice-President of the International Council for Ad Self-Regulation (ICAS); Laura Brett, Vice President of USA's National Advertising Division; Catherine Bate, Chief Legal and Policy Officer at Ad Standards in Canada; and Justina Raižytė, Head of Development and Policy, European Advertising Standards Alliance.

We'll also have a panels on the different approaches to challenging misleading competitor advertising around the world, as well as changing approaches to the issue of diversity in advertising. Between those book ends, we'll have break-out sessions dealing with the intersection of advertising with the Climate Crisis and green claims; the Health Crisis and advertising for alcohol and other restricted products; the Crisis of Trust, particularly in social media; and the Obesity Crisis and the advetising of HFSS products.

As well as our GALA colleagues, we are also welcoming panellists from Snap, Bacardi, Ferrero and Abbott Mead Vickers to give an industry perspective.

The event starts at 12.30p.m. and after the seminars, we will be continuing with a networking party into the evening with drinks and canapes.
